Asthma & Pulmonology

Asthma and PulmonologyAsthma is a disease that makes breathing difficult for more than 23 million Americans. Management of this chronic condition is critical in helping people breath easier.

In 2001, TMC instituted a comprehensive asthma program that provides asthma education to outpatients and inpatients. In an effort to provide a consistent continuum of care, patients are treated in the emergency department using a standardized protocol based on national guidelines for the management of asthma and are referred for follow-up care to help break the cycle of emergent care. This program has resulted in a substantial reduction in admissions for asthma sufferers.

Other services we provide are:

Financial Counseling

The financial worry of a medical bill is a real worry for many of us and, not surprisingly, often causes a great deal of anxiety.

There are many questions a patient may ask:

• How much will it cost?

• How much will I personally have to pay for services?

• Are there flexible payment options and/or financial assistance?

Concern about a medical bill should never get in the way of getting treatment. TMC provides the best quality care to everyone regardless of one's financial situation. TMC accepts most commercial insurance plans and if you are uninsured our dedicated Oncology financial counseler is prepared to become your guide and partner. Our financial counselor can see if you are eligible and assist you in applying for Medicare, Medicaid, the TMC discount, payment plans, and other options. Our financial counselor is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment and may be reached at 816-404-4375.
